  The main difference is in customer philosophy. The same attentive, individual service that has made CompuSource a leader in Central Texas transcends into this venture.
  "It's a different experience in online customer relations," owner and CEO Todd de Neve says. "We're bringing customer service to the Internet, because without customer service, no e-commerce business will survive."
     "We don't just build computers, we build relationships," says deNeve, whose credentials include a degree from the University of Texas and a 1999 nomination for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. DeNeve has a combined 15 years experience as a small business owner and operator. "It's not like at Compaq or Dell. Here you can e-mail or enter a chatroom with the person who's going to build your computer."
  The customer service philosophy that made CompuZones's brick-and-mortar enterprise a success makes PCparts.com a different type of online computer store.
  "We're going to continue to live by the promise of doing anything we can to help our customers," deNeve says.
     When technicians are not assisting customers, they are repairing or building computers. Developing its line of Image Systems ™ machines, CompuSource was among the pioneers to market the pre-built PC.
  "We have a sales staff that can educate a customer," deNeve says. "Our technicians are also capable of building a computer to a client's specifications within a three-to-five day window."
  In the coming months, pcparts will offer even more features:

"Virtual Tech Bench" service, in which customers can view on-line support videos and have teleconferencing sessions with service and sales representatives.
  "Studies have shown pricing is a No. 5 or No. 6 consideration when making a purchase," deNeve says. "Anyone can develop a website and sell inexpensive products to customers. But we will thrive because we are tailoring our site to clients."
